This 1.5-mile gateway corridor to the City of Fitchburg required the replacement of 2,000 feet of deteriorating retaining walls. This City of Fitchburg project was designed to increase safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and vehicles turning into numerous access points throughout this busy commercial area. Safer crosswalks with new pedestrian signals, audible push buttons, and improved lighting are just a few of the new technologies used in this project to improve access for the community.

KL’s Scott Cramer and Bill Biesmann (pictured far right) were honored to receive a Bicycle Friendly Business plaque last night at the City of Fitchburg Common Council meeting. KL Engineering is 1 of 9 Fitchburg businesses to receive an award from the League of American Bicyclists. We are proud to support bicyclists in both the
