With creative financing, the $28 million North Fish Hatchery Road (NFHR) project was built without raising levy limits. Careful Design to Benefit All
This 1.5-mile gateway corridor to the City of Fitchburg required the replacement of 2,000 feet of deteriorating retaining walls. Architectural details and decorative safety rails were incorporated to improve grades, drainage, safety, and provided aesthetic continuity throughout the corridor. Accommodations for All
This City of Fitchburg project was designed to increase safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and vehicles turning into numerous access points throughout this busy commercial area. Safer crosswalks with new pedestrian signals, audible push buttons, and improved lighting are just a few of the new technologies used in this project to improve access for the community.
