KL Engineering was recognized with the 2026 WisDOT Excellence in Highway Design Award for Best Urban Project in the Consultant / Municipality category for the USH 14 (North Main Street) Reconstruction project. The team transformed USH 14 through downtown Westby from a deteriorating, high-traffic highway into a safer, more connected urban corridor that better serves vehicles, freight, and pedestrians. We are honored to announce that KL received a 2025 Excellence in Construction Award in the Small Structure category. The Pepin–Hager City STH 35 Retaining Wall Project in Pierce County was selected for this honor due to exceptional workmanship, strong quality control, and environmental protection measures implemented throughout the project. Our first Minnesota office opened in August in Forest Lake, northeast of the Twin Cities — marking a meaningful step in our continued growth. In Wisconsin, we relocated our Germantown office to a new space in Pewaukee, which opened in November.
