Andrew Kane has been part of KL Engineering since the spring, and with summer coming to a close, so is his internship for the season. During his time with us, Andrew worked on the IH 94 construction project, focusing on patching and paving inspections.
Reflecting on his experience, Andrew emphasized the importance of building strong relationships:
“Building rapport, communication, and being trustworthy are very important in helping projects go smoothly and overcome challenges that may arise.”
Andrew also expressed appreciation for the mentorship he received:
“I am especially grateful to Jesse Schreiner and Dean Long for their guidance and backing throughout the period I was working on the project. They were always willing to respond to questions, provide feedback, and ensure that I understood the intricacies of the work. Their supervision was a significant part of my experience and development. Overall, working with KL Engineering has been an invaluable learning experience, and I’ve gained both technical skills and interpersonal insights that will benefit me in my future career.”
Thank you, Andrew, for your hard work and thoughtful contributions this season!
