The Gateway to the Heart of Fitchburg's Business Community

KL Engineering designed improvements for a 1.5-mile reconstruction project along North Fish Hatchery Road between CTH PD and the West Madison Beltline (USH 12/14) in Fitchburg, WI.

The project included safety and capacity updates to multiple intersections, an extensive public involvement campaign, and a comprehensive drainage analysis for the roadway storm sewer system. This heavily traveled, multi-lane urban roadway was constructed under traffic, which required a complex construction staging and traffic control plan. Other project features included repairing underground infrastructure, traffic signals, lighting, streetscaping, retaining walls, a mini roundabout, developing a project plat, and real estate acquisition.
