Hands Only CPR Demonstrations at Madison Office

Thursday of last week Brianna Demotto from the American Heart Association was in the Madison office to conduct a few CPR demos and spread the word about the AHA Heart Walk happening this fall. Empowering folks with the skill of hands only CPR is an important goal. “70% of out of hospital cardiac arrests happen in the home, so chances are when you are called on to perform [hands only CPR], you could be saving someone you love. The AHA wants to ensure that in the face of of a cardiac emergency everyone is prepared and empowered to step in an become a vital link in that chain of survival. It is a really big goal this year for the Madison Heart Walk Campaign along with raising critical funds to support public health education, advocacy, and research efforts in Wisconsin.” Thanks to Brianna for coming out and equipping us with this knowledge!
