KL’s Arman Khan, Gerry Schmitt, Jenni Lauer, Brandon Mackesey, and Aaron Steger (not pictured) were at the City of Madison East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) ribbon cutting this week. After months of work and years of planning, this project is officially completed. The project allows the use of larger buses, including 46 electric buses that will service the BRT routes with dedicated lanes. Rapid Route A runs east-west from the Sun Prairie Park and Ride to Junction Road with buses arriving every 15 minutes Monday through Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sundays and holidays.
KL was responsible for designing the pavement markings and overhead signs. We were also part of the construction team providing inspection services, as well as extensive surveying and platting services. We are happy to be part of these community initiatives that will make life better for all!
