KL’s Aaron Steger, Dan Ryan, and Chad Halverson attended the John Nolen Drive project press conference. The project just received another $15.1 million from the federal government to replace this iconic causeway that serves as the gateway to downtown Madison, WI. The John Nolen Drive project is 1 of only 9 across the country awarded grants by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law’s Bridge Investment Program. KL Engineering is the prime consultant providing engineering services for the redesign of John Nolen Drive while this first phase is focused on replacing the 6 causeway bridges between Lakeside Street and North Shore Drive. The first phase of this project is estimated to cost $30 million and to begin construction in 2025. We are grateful for this grant selection to help move this important project forward.
