The I-39/90 Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held yesterday, celebrating the end of this WisDOT Mega Project for the 45-mile I-39/90 Segment from the Illinoi State Line to Madison! KL Engineering completed the Central Segment which extends 13 miles from CTH O just south of Janesville, WI to the Rock / Dane County line. The design of the project was led by KL Engineering over the course of 7 years (2011-2018), then constructed over 8 years (2013-2021) at a total construction cost of over $300 million.
Two people had the honor of cutting the ribbon – Governor Evers (top photo) and Emmanuel Yartey (bottom photo), who oversaw the construction of the corridor for WisDOT. It has been such an honor for KL Engineering to partner with everyone who made this amazing large-scale project possible! We especially extend our gratitude to Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), the City of Janesville, and Rock County.
