Chad Halverson, Cole Hernikl, and Jaden Neumann visited the University Avenue construction project to watch their structural design come to life. This new pedestrian bridge over University Bay Drive will provide safe passage for users through a highly confined and densely populated urban area that serves the University of Wisconsin-Madison, UW Health and VA Hospitals, as well as local businesses and residents. The bridge is one piece of this 0.6-mile project that reconstructs a 6-lane divided urban roadway along WSOR railroad tracks. KL Engineering coordinated all aspects of the project on behalf of City of Madison and Village of Shorewood Hills, who share the jurisdiction. Cole and Jaden are pictured.
