Garver Path had several unique components. An interesting alteration to the initial concept arose from public engagement. The path location was moved from an open grassed area to Starkweather Drive, a low volume roadway. Starkweather Drive was reconstructed to a one-way road with grassed terrace and path, all within the former roadway footprint. This reduced the impervious area and avoided impact to several mature trees. Thanks to City of Madison for partnering with us on this project!
