Parks, Trails, and Recreation Team Outing

Last month, our Parks, Trails, and Recreation team went on the road to check out some projects we’ve been involved in recently. This included Garver Path, Powerline Trail Phases 1 & 2, and Jefferson Interurban Trail Phases 2 & 3. While Jefferson Interurban Trail Phase 3 is still in progress, there is a bridge component to the project that is being built before the trail. Team members saw bridge construction on this field trip. Arielle Lewien, who organized the outing, said, “It was a beautiful fall day to walk some sections of trail projects that have been designed by KL and constructed the past few years. It was cool to see the trail in person compared to a plan set, and the differences between trails in urban and rural areas.”
