What You'll Do:
- Design & Analyze: Conduct traffic engineering studies including corridor planning, multimodal improvement plans, traffic impact analyses, safety studies, and DOT design reports.
- Engineer & Innovate: Design traffic signals, roadway lighting, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) under the guidance of project managers and principals.
- Lead & Mentor: More experienced candidates will have opportunities to manage projects, lead teams, and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed expectations.
- Research & Solve: Perform traffic operations modeling, safety analysis, and develop improvement alternatives and countermeasures.
- Observe & Document: Conduct field reviews, oversee data collection efforts, and prepare written and graphical summaries of findings.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 3–8+ years of traffic engineering experience.
- Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain within one year. PTOE or RSP certification preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in HCS, Synchro, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Sidra; VISSIM and IHSDM experience strongly preferred. Strong technical writing, data interpretation, and communication skills.
- Mindset: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
