2024 APWA Elroy-Sparta Presentation

KL’s Bill Biesmann will take the stage tomorrow at the APWA Wisconsin Spring Conference. He will share insights on the Elroy-Sparta State Trail repairs required to restore America’s first #RailsToTrails project. The 2018 storms damaged sections of the trail between the Villages of Norwalk to Elroy resulting in closure of 22 miles of trail. Thirty-five (35) bridge structures were impacted along with numerous streambank failures and landslides that needed to be repaired. Andy Haffele from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will be co-presenting and a 2024 Wisconsin State Trail pass will be given out to the first question from the live audience! #Spring24APWAWI
