Phosphorous in the Upper Sugar River Watershed

Phosphorous in the Upper Sugar River Watershed

It was great to have members of the Upper Sugar River Waterway Association (USRWA) in our Madison office this week. Wade Moder, USRWA Executive Director pictured on left, and Marty Ciesilk, USRWA President pictured on right, joined us as part of our ongoing KL Speaker Series.

Marty lead a presentation about the harmful affects of phosphorous in the Upper Sugar River Watershed. He discussed the phosphorous monitoring efforts and data collected. The USRWA, City of Verona, and other community partners are actively working to improve the water quality of the Sugar River. Short and long term goal were also reviewed.

Thank you for sharing this important information with our team!
