KL Engineering oversaw the design of Phase 1 of the Lower Yahara River Trail project (pictured) as a WisDOT Local Program Management Consultant. We are now in the process of designing Phase 2 of the project. The Lower Yahara River Trail in Dane County, Wisconsin is among the longest elevated structures in the United States for bicycle/pedestrian use. Recycled materials were used to build the boardwalk, which kept 1.7 million plastic bottles out of landfills! #EngineersMakeItHappen
