County Highway M (CTH M) is a heavily traveled commuter route along the north side of Madison and serves as a critical link between Middleton/West Madison, North Madison, Waunakee, and other outlying communities surrounding the northern Madison area in Wisconsin. KL Engineering will be investigating a range of options for improving safety and capacity along the 5 mile segment of CTH M between CTH Q in Middleton and STH 113, which may include a 4-lane expansion alternative. Bike lanes and shared-use facilities are also being considered throughout the length of the project and the potential for the expansion of mass transit throughout the corridor will be explored. Improvements to several intersections and new bridges or expansions to existing structures is also anticipated.
