Wisconsin boasts one of the highest totals of modern roundabouts in the nation, with close to 600 roundabouts as of January 2024. Roundabouts are well known to reduce crashes causing serious injuries and fatalities through the control of speeds and reduction of conflicts a driver experiences with other drivers. Roundabouts are currently found at about one percent of the intersections on the state highway system, but they are an increasingly popular solution as safety remains a top focus across the state.
