KL Engineering’s internship program is designed to give students hands-on experience in transportation, traffic, design, and civil engineering while helping them discover where their interests and talents can take them. In return, our teams benefit from the energy, curiosity, and fresh perspectives interns bring to every project.
Throughout the summer, our interns had opportunities to explore the industry beyond the office, including a field trip to an active construction site where they could see engineering concepts come to life. They were encouraged to ask questions, try new things, and gain exposure to different areas of the profession.
The summer concluded with each intern presenting what they learned and accomplished to KL’s leadership team, showcasing the projects, experiences, and insights they gained along the way. From taking on new challenges to building relationships with coworkers, this year’s cohort made the most of their time with us, and we’re grateful for all they contributed.
Many of our interns return for multiple summers, and some even begin their careers at KL after graduation. We’re excited to see where their journeys take them next!
