KL Engineering is committed to providing spaces that everyone can enjoy. Recently, we were honored with the 2025 Engineering Achievement Award in Category B for projects costing between $5M-$15M to construct from ASCE for the Lower Yahara River Trail Phase 2 and Fish Camp County Park Improvement Project.

A key highlight of the project was the series of waterfront enhancements at Fish Camp County Park, which were designed with accessibility and inclusivity at the forefront. These improvements include a fully accessible kayak launch and a new fishing pier with accessible features that allow individuals of all abilities to enjoy the water.

The surrounding infrastructure on the project supported ease of access and enhanced the overall user experience. These intentional design elements reflect KL Engineering’s ongoing commitment to creating public spaces that are safe, inclusive, and enjoyable for all.

We are proud to see this work recognized by ASCE and grateful to our partners and stakeholders who helped bring this vision to life.
