KL Engineering Dedicated to Sustainability with LYRT Phase 2 and Fish Camp

Over the next few weeks, we will be highlighting different aspects of the Lower Yahara River Trail Phase 2 & Fish Camp County Park Improvements Project. This project has been honored with the APWA Wisconsin’s Project of the Year Award in the Transportation — $5M but less than $25M category. This recognition celebrates our commitment to excellence in engineering, as well as our dedication to sustainability and accessibility. Throughout the project, we protected wetlands while enhancing the natural beauty of the area. Our team worked diligently on bridge design and construction while collaborating with Dane County Parks to protect native plants and trees by clearing invasive species.

Sustainability is at the heart of our work. It often emerges organically through a combination of collaboration with our clients and hands-on experience in the field during project construction. Working closely with our shareholders and contractors ensures we deliver projects that are not only functional but also environmentally responsible.

Thank you to everyone who was involved in making this project a success!
