This City of Fitchburg project was designed to increase safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and vehicles turning into numerous access points throughout this busy commercial area. Safer crosswalks with new pedestrian signals, audible push buttons, and improved lighting are just a few of the new technologies used in this project to improve access for the community. 2022 ASCE Wisconsin Engineering Achievement Award Winner
The North Fish Hatchery Road project gave me the opportunity to help improve the accessibility of a street I use every day for all modes of transportation and people of all abilities. It is very satisfying to see.
