2023 WisDOT Outstanding Highway Construction Award

Congratulations to Trierweiler and the project team on winning the WisDOT and WTBA 2023 Outstanding Highway Construction Award for Concrete Paving! What an exciting project to be a part of! It’s not all that often we are able to reconstruct a major gateway to downtown Madison and the State Capitol. This project included over 20 stages, 11 different concrete mix types, and over 18,000 sys of concrete pavement. Toss in a railroad, numerous access points, multi-modal users, and several iterations of public and private utilities and now we have a project! KL Engineering is grateful for opportunity to partner with WisDOT, City of Madison engineering staff, Madison Metro Transit, Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District, PR Revelations, contractors, and countless stakeholders. The old adage that “it takes a village” may be a bit cliché but definitely applied to this project and we couldn’t be prouder of how it turned out!
