KL Engineering is committed to mentoring the next generation of engineers, both as interns and as students. For the past several years, our team has partnered with UW-Platteville engineering seniors on their Senior Design Capstone projects during their final semester. Seeing students grow, apply their knowledge, and develop real-world solutions is one of the most rewarding aspects of this collaboration.
That made it especially meaningful to see a team we mentored in 2024 nominated for a 2026 Wisconsin Governor’s Outdoor Industry Award in the Tandem Award for Collaboration category.
While the project was not ultimately selected for the award, we were grateful for the opportunity to celebrate alongside all of the nominees and winners at last month’s banquet. Congratulations to our own Josh Hahn, who was part of the Senior Design Capstone team, and to Arielle Lewien for the guidance, support, and mentorship she provided throughout the project. Their contributions helped create an experience that made a lasting impact on the students involved.
