At KL Engineering, supporting active transportation is more than something we design for our communities. It’s something we encourage within our own workplace.
That’s why we’re proud to have been recognized as a Bike Friendly Business by the League of American Bicyclists since 2022. We recently applied to renew our Silver-level designation, joining nine Bike Friendly Businesses in Fitchburg committed to creating a workplace culture that supports and encourages cycling.
Many of our employees bike for recreation, fitness, and commuting. To help make riding more accessible, KL provides free trail passes to employees each year, helping them enjoy Wisconsin’s outstanding network of trails and bike facilities.
Our commitment to biking extends beyond our office walls. Throughout the years, KL has helped communities plan, design, and improve bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure that connects people to where they live, work, and play. From shared-use paths and trail systems to multimodal transportation improvements, we’re proud to support projects that make active transportation safer and more accessible for everyone.
