The Transportation Improvement Conference last week was an overall success for the KL team! This was the 16th year of the conference, hosted by ACEC Wisconsin and Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
Brad Domasky moderated the Emerging Professionals session, and Matt Regnier introduced the presentations.
We were proud to have our team accept a 2026 WisDOT Excellence in Highway Design award for the USH 14 project in the City of Westby, recognizing the strong collaboration behind this effort. Joshua Melby did a presentation on the project, which was another highlight from the conference. Elizabeth Reis from CORRE, INC. was co‑presenting, and the pair shared both the design and construction perspectives of the project. Attendees were highly engaged, asking thoughtful questions and looking for guidance they can apply to future projects.
