What makes being an engineer so rewarding? According to Katie Kirkendall, “The excitement comes from finding creative solutions. It can be a challenge, since each site is unique, but we can meet those challenges to turn a client’s vision into reality.”
Katie is an Engineer I on the Infrastructure Services team in our Pewaukee office. When we asked Katie what she would tell future engineers, and she had this to say:
“Civil engineering is such a rewarding career because so much of what you see around you is something you can design and bring to life. Future engineers should ask lots of questions, spin their gears for a little while, and don’t be afraid to challenge how things are usually done . That’s how we grow.”
Appreciation to all engineers for the impact you make through your work and dedication.
