At this year’s WTBA / WisDOT Conference, a project managed by KL’s Chris Ehlert received the 2025 Excellence in Construction Award in the Small Structure category. The STH 35 Retaining Wall Project in Pierce County was selected for this honor due to exceptional workmanship, strong quality control, and environmental protection measures implemented throughout the project. The final product resulted in a durable, visually consistent wall that exceeded WisDOT standards and merited recognition. Chris worked closely with Zenith Tech, WisDOT’s David Koepp, and Ted Johnson of Professional Engineering Services. Congratulations to the team on this well‑deserved recognition!
