KL’s Samantha Herheim and Aaron Passow will be presenting along with Dane County Parks’ Alex DeSmidt, on the Lower Yahara River Trail (LYRT) at the APWA Fall Conference. Their session will explore how the trail now connects Madison, McFarland, and Stoughton, creating new opportunities for recreation and community connection. Attendees will learn about the unique features of the trail, including North America’s longest inland boardwalk bridge, accessible fishing piers, and kayak launches. The presentation will also highlight how Phase 1 in 2017 and Phase 2 in 2024 have transformed the region and brought lasting benefits to the surrounding communities.
