Last Friday, KL’s Brad Halvensleben and Dan Ryan were honored to accept ACEC Wisconsin’s 2024 Engineering Excellence Best of State award for our work on the WIS 26 Interchange. From overcoming unique challenges to delivering innovative solutions, this project truly exemplifies engineering excellence.
As team member Brian St. Vincent reflects, “The challenges we faced were a result of many factors. This was the 3rd of this type of intersection built in the state. As a major thoroughfare, we had to keep it open to traffic during construction. We were always working in the best interest of the surrounding community in order to avoid confusion and wrong-way hazards.” These challenges encouraged innovation in problem solving. Recognition from ACEC is truly something to celebrate!
