KL Engineering is in search of a talented Traffic Engineer to join our amazing team based in Madison. As part of our crew, you’ll be at the forefront of innovative projects involving traffic signal, roadway lighting, and ITS design. Your role will encompass traffic operations modeling, safety analysis, and field reviews. (We’re also open to candidates interested in working from our Green Bay, Menomonie, and Germantown offices, or even remotely within Wisconsin.)
To be considered for this position, you’ll need:
- A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field
- 3-8+ years of experience in traffic engineering
- Registration as a professional engineer (PE) in Wisconsin or the ability to obtain it within a year. PTOE or RSP certification is a bonus!
- Proficiency in traffic engineering analysis and design software, such as HCS, Synchro, AutoCAD Civil3D, and Sidra. Experience with VISSIM and IHSDM is a big plus!
- Previous involvement in transportation projects, with WisDOT experience being a sweet bonus!
