DESCRIPTION

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties covering all aspects of the human resource function including recruiting, benefits, compliance, policy development, training, performance management, compensation, employee relations, talent management, career development, culture, and safety. This position is an exciting opportunity for an entry-to-mid-career HR professional to work and grow with an invested senior HR partner on a variety of HR processes and activities across all human resource disciplines.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development, communication, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures; maintains compliance with all employment & recordkeeping laws or regulations.
  • Performs routine HR tasks including, but not limited to benefits, leaves, employee recognition and rewards; training and development; performance, talent management, compensation, DEI, productivity; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; and occupational health and safety.
  • Oversees benefit plans including design, implementation, enrollments, and reconciliations.
  • Manage recruitment function: job descriptions/postings, candidate review, interviews, communications, applicant tracking, and offers.
  • Coordinates onboarding activities and programs.
  • Coordinates training activities and initiatives.
  • Provides guidance on employee relations and performance management issues.
  • Manages employee activities and events calendar.
  • Back up for payroll processing for both exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Utilizes HRIS-related systems to increase or introduce process efficiencies and reporting capabilities.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in HR related areas.
  • Will perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business or related field, a minimum of an associate degree in a Human Resources related discipline.
  • 3+ years of Human Resources work experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office software including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential. Experience with payroll and/or HRIS software are a plus.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills, with a high level of attention to detail and self-motivated to be successful.
  • Ability to identify and establish work priorities while balancing multiple projects.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate (virtually and in-person) with clients and colleagues one-on-one and in group settings, both verbally and in writing.
  • This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We will not provide sponsorship for this position.
