IH – 41 North Segment Reconstruction

KL Engineering provided construction administration services for the $170 million reconstruction of IH-41 from Memorial Drive to Lineville Rd.  Services provided included administration of the contract, documentation and record keeping, inspection, material testing and compliance, erosion control compliance, traffic control compliance, contract change orders, public relations, and pay estimates. 

The project included reconstruction of approximately 4 miles of IH-41 mainline, the I-41/I-43 system interchange, the Velp Avenue Interchange and the Lineville Road Interchange.  Major construction items of work included steel tub girder and plate girder structures, concrete girder structures, sign structures, significant grading, retaining walls, base aggregate, concrete pavement, asphaltic pavement, curb and gutter, staged traffic control, signing and marking, and roundabouts.
