CTH D (Main Street) | Village of Belgium

Lighting & Electrical – Design

KL Engineering completed the lighting design and plans for the nearly 1.5 mile roadway reconstruction of CTH D (Main Street) in the Village of Belgium. The overall project was a transformational renovation for the main downtown retail and residential corridor that serves as the critical link through the Village. This project was split into multiple segments and KL Engineering was tasked with developing plans that would seamlessly integrate the electrical construction efforts from one project to the next.

Prior to reconstruction, the corridor had only utility mounted streetlights serviced by an overhead electrical system. The Village requested assistance with developing an aesthetic streetscaping plan to enhance their downtown thoroughfare. In addition to developing final plans and bid documents, KL Engineering provided planning services to help the Village identify decorative lighting alternatives, operational costs, and presented findings directly to local officials and stakeholders.

KL Engineering is proud to have helped the Village of Belgium improve the lighting and electrical infrastructure in their historic downtown Main Street.
